Advocates for Children and Elders
International Philippines (ACEIPI)
Advocates for Children and Elders International is a duly registered non-government Organization composed of community leaders and advocates worldwide whose mission is to protect the human rights and improve the lives of underprivileged children and elders in the Philippine through a sustained and effective program of human welfare and development.
The August 2005 CNN coverage of children imprisoned with adult criminals in the Philippines under subhuman condition created global awareness among Filipinos abroad, regarding the urgent need to address the socio-economic problems in their native land. The incorporation of ACE IPI was one of the more concrete responses.
ACE IPI BELIEVES that……
Simple acts of charity and “dole-outs” are not enough. They cannot stand alone. But they are integral to how we RESPOND to the varying needs of children and elders.
ACE IPI RECOGNIZES that…..
Networking and establishing PARTNERSHIPS are a “must”, with government agencies and with Barangays where we reside, with the church and private sectors and with other non-government organizations and groups that share advocacies and implement programs similar and/or significantly related to ours.
ACE IPI THEREFORE COMMITS ITSELF..
-
To help CREATE opportunities for change and development.•
-
To INTERVENE and act with dispatch in times of crisis
-
To help RESTORE justice; and
-
To GUIDE and SUPPORT towards renewal and healing
The vision is for ACE IPI to later develop and grow as a global network with the intent of directing overseas support and services to children and elders in the Philippines, with CICL as its initial project.
But we cannot do it alone. We need you to make it happen.
Together, we can make a difference....
