"All About Love" Concert A Success

March 15, 2002

Thanks to the wonderful props by Hiram Quinones and the exceptional performance by the musical cast, the "All for Love" concert proved to be a real enchanted evening of theatrical Broadway, popular and contemporary music.

More than 600 guests attended the concert that began with a special appearance of VIP, a group of 4 children who rendered a lively modern dance performance. The first part of the Concert highlighted colorful renditions of "Doll on a Music Box" by Bles Chavez and Yovan Sanchez, "March of the Siamese Children" and  "A Puzzlement" (from the King and I) by Buenavene Abragan, Leslie Lavoy, Jason Lyzniak, Tessie Santos and the Children's chorus.

Part 2 highlighted "The Music of the Night" (from Phantom of the Opera) by Nick Rivera, "It's a Hard Knock Life" (from Annie) by the Children's Chorus, "Jesus Christ Superstar" by Lucky Bruno and Dance Chorus,  "Somewhere Out There" by the Dayaw Singers, "The Last Night of the World" (from Miss Saigon) by Eusta Fharrida Dequito and Lily Polley-Wilkison, and "The American Dream" by Nimrod Marayan and Dance Chorus.

Part 3 highlighted three beautiful songs by Dinggin and "Sa Tabi ng Punong Saging", a choreographed performance by Dinggin and Dayaw singers. The choral number "Isang Dugo, Isang Lahi" by Dinggin and Dayaw, was followed by the Grand Finale, "Love in Any Language",  epitomizing the general theme of the concert-- one heritage, one nation, one music, one dream.

After a long evening that lasted for almost four hours, everyone went home sleepy and tired, but happy and entertained.

The "All About Love" Concert was sponsored by NANAY, Dinggin and Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Council (Tropiculture Miami), with special performances by the students of Performer's Music Institute.
